- Premium cold-pressed oils, such as olive oil, generally trade between USD 15 per liter (L) to USD 20/L across the countries investigated. However, olive oil is more expensive in some countries, crossing the USD 20/L average in countries such as the United States (US), where it trades at an average of USD 25.82/L.

- Refined cooking oils generally sell for between USD 2.5/L to USD 4/L across the countries investigated, except Germany, where refined oils trade at USD 6/L on average. The primary reason for the high prices of refined oils in Germany is that a large portion of refined oils are produced using organic production practices.

- Edible oils in Japan are sold in smaller quantities compared to many Western countries, and are often sold in multi-package solutions. This highlights the Japanese consumers’ preference for buying in bulk but still choosing smaller individual packaging solutions.
