In Bolu, Turkey, 150,000 turkeys have been prepared for the New Year, with an average price of 300 TL per kilo. The city, which contributes 30% to Turkey's turkey meat production, has increased production capacity and produced smaller turkeys for consumers. The average weight of male and female turkeys is 20 kilos and 11 kilos respectively, but for the New Year, they are slaughtered at 7-8 kilos. The live production manager of the turkey production facility in Bolu stated that they plan to continue slaughtering turkeys until December 30, as demand for turkey meat continues to increase due to its high protein value and low fat and cholesterol content.
