The article highlights the initiative taken by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Şırnak, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture, to carry out the 'Fishing of Water Resources Project' since 2016. This project aims to preserve and sustain aquaculture stocks through regular fish-feeding in lakes, ponds, and dams, with the broader goal of leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. The initiative has seen the successful release of 1.65 million carp fingerlings into various water bodies across the districts of Güçlükonak, İdil, Cizre, and Uludere, sourced from the Şanlıurfa Atatürk Aquaculture Production Station.
