Turkey has seen a significant increase in its anchovy exports, with 577 tons exported in two months, generating $2.12 million. This represents a 90% increase in quantity and a 35% increase in value compared to the same period last year, according to Saffet Kalyoncu, Chairman of the Board of Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association. The top importers of Turkish anchovies were Belgium, the USA, and France, with new markets including the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Romania, Dubai, and Iraq.
