2025 Vietnam economic review and 2026 outlook: Agricultural, forestry, and fishery product exports reach a new historical high

In 2025, major export commodities such as coffee, pepper, aquatic products, fruits and vegetables, and forest products all achieved robust growth. Among them, coffee became the biggest highlight, with export value surpassing 8 billion U.S. dollars for the first time, despite an export volume of only about 1.5 million tons, indicating that the coffee industry is significantly shifting from a growth model dependent on production volume to one driven by quality and added value, while consolidating Vietnam's position as a key global coffee supply center. In terms of aquatic products, in November 2025 alone, Vietnam's aquatic product exports reached nearly 990 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers predicted that the total value of seafood exports for 2025 could reach 11.2-11.3 billion U.S. dollars, a historic high.
