[2026 New Year's Message] Lee Gi-hong, Chairman of the Korea Pork Producers Association

Dear fellow pig farmers and livestock family members, The new year of the Bing-O year has dawned. Since taking office as the 21st president last November, I have been running tirelessly, and now I find myself writing my first New Year's message. I sincerely hope that your families are filled with health and happiness. Over the past two months, I have been running around to keep my promise to visit the sites in boots. I went to the National Assembly to raise awareness about the issues with the Livestock Product Trading Price Reporting Act, and I persuaded members of both parties to incorporate the voices of farmers into policy. My philosophy remains unchanged: there are no falsehoods on the ground, only answers. The year 2026 must be the year when our pig industry overcomes the crisis and opens a new future.
