Inspectors from the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Altai Territory and the Republic of Altai have discovered the Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV) in a batch of fresh peppers imported from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The infected peppers, weighing 12 tons, have been placed in isolated storage until a decision is made regarding their use or destruction. In 2023, inspectors have already found over 63 tons of the ToBRFV virus in regulated products imported from Kazakhstan.
