A plant provides 11 times more profitability than soybeans, study shows

Hemp, a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant with less than 0.3% THC (no psychoactive effect), can generate a net return up to 11 times higher than that of soybeans, according to a study by the intelligence firm Kaya Mind. According to the survey, in the cultivation for flowers (CBD), the return reaches R$ 23,306.80 per hectare, while the oilseed delivers R$ 2,053.34 per hectare on average in Brazil and corn R$ 3,398.34 per hectare. Kaya Mind reinforces that hemp production can be integrated into existing systems, provided the producer uses adaptable machinery and promotes crop rotation and soil recovery. "In addition to profitability, hemp also stands out for its ability to generate jobs in the countryside.
