A Serious Decline in Turkey's Hazelnut Harvest

In Ordu, where the most hazelnut production is carried out in Türkiye, it was stated that there is approximately a 70% loss compared to last year due to agricultural frost and other pests in April. Ordu, where approximately one-third of Türkiye's hazelnuts are produced, announced a 202,000-ton crop for 2024. The team that started working on determining the 2025 hazelnut crop on July 1st concluded its studies at 400 points. According to the studies, the hazelnut crop in Ordu province decreased by approximately 70% compared to last year, dropping to 64,149 tons.
