A Step Towards International Cooperation in Raspberry Production from Uludağ to Serbia

Under the leadership of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), within the scope of the Serbia Agriculture and Food Delegation visit held between July 9-12, 2025, Mayor of Kestel Ferhat Erol, Mayor of Gürsu Mustafa Işık, and BTSO Council Vice President Dr. Murat Bayizit conducted various contacts in Belgrade, Arilje, and Poega cities with their delegation. The focus of the visit was raspberry and other berry fruits, which have been rapidly increasing in production in Bursa's eastern districts, on the slopes of Uludağ in recent years. The delegation examined the agricultural production and processing facilities in Serbia, which are cited as world-class examples in this field. During visits to Arilje and Poega, businesses producing raspberries and strawberries, processing these products with modern techniques, cold chain and export-oriented packaging systems, advanced nursery centers, and research institutes were examined in detail.
