A unique greenhouse complex in the kingdom of permafrost justified bold forecasts in Russia

The Sayuri year-round greenhouse complex is a large-scale project that has no analogues in conditions of permafrost and ultra-low temperatures. This year, by September 1, almost 1,700 tons of products were collected in the Sayuri greenhouse complex, of which about 1,300 tons of cucumbers and 370 tomatoes. Also, the first Sayuri retail store was recently opened in the city of Yakutsk and, together with partners, the production of new products was launched - pickled cucumbers. At the end of 2022, Sayuri produced 2,169 tons of vegetables, including 1,736 tons of cucumbers, 411 tons of tomatoes, 22 tons of greens, the Ministry of Economy of Yakutia reported. The Sayuri greenhouse complex, being a backbone agricultural enterprise in Yakutia, is implementing production plans aimed at providing up to 25% of the population of the city of Yakutsk with fresh vegetables within the framework of food security and import substitution.
