Six months ago the sowing began with the desire to approach 7 million tons and, days before the harvest, the expectations are unbeatable. The 25/26 wheat campaign is on track to set a new productive milestone, as the best harvest in the core region. A record yield of 50.4 quintals/ha is expected, surpassing the previous high by 3.4 quintals/ha and a record production of 8 million tons. The calculation comes from a planted area of 1.66 million hectares, minus 80,000 hectares due to excesses. Compared to the previous campaign, this is a giant leap: 30% more and 2 million tons more than what was estimated with "normal weather" at the start of the campaign. The combination of good autumn and spring rains, along with a humid winter and high sunshine, created the ideal scenario to build this crop potential.
