In March, Brazil's rice exports amounted to 85,400 tons, generating $43.2 million in revenue, a decrease from the previous year's 115,800 tons and $46.4 million, as reported by the Brazilian Rice Industry Association (Abiarroz) and the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC). The exports were primarily processed cereals, with notable destinations including Cuba, Senegal, Gambia, Peru, and the United States. For the first quarter, Brazil exported 267,600 tons of rice, earning $104.1 million. Meanwhile, rice imports in March were 116,000 tons, costing $49.5 million, and from January to March, imports totaled 455,200 tons, amounting to $195.8 million.
