A new investment project in the Piedmont District of the Stavropol Territory, Russia, aims to launch a high-quality vegetable growing greenhouse by September 2023. The project, costing over 1 billion rubles ($ 12.944 million), will occupy about 6.5 hectares and create over 80 new jobs. The greenhouse will use the unique 'Air & energy' system, which improves climate control and reduces energy consumption, potentially increasing vegetable yield by 5-10% and improving quality. The specific crop to be grown, either tomatoes or cucumbers, is still undecided. The Stavropol Territory is a leading producer of tomatoes in greenhouses in Russia, accounting for over 14% of the national production.
