The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) forecasts a positive outlook for chicken meat exports in 2024, with an increase from the average exports of 431.4 thousand tons in 2024 to 428.2 thousand tons in 2023. Despite a 2.3% decrease in exports in June 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, the first half of 2024 saw a slight decrease of 1.6% in total exports compared to the same period in 2023, but accumulated revenue was 10.3% lower. China remains the main export destination, with a 29% decrease in imports in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, and Paraná is the main exporter. There has been an increase in volumes destined for Latin American countries, while Middle Eastern countries maintain high demand for Brazilian chicken meat.
