The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) advocates for the continuation of negotiations with the United States to prevent an increase in tariffs on Brazilian products exported to the North American country. The entity stated, in a statement, to hope that "pragmatism remains" in the negotiations conducted by the federal government. From January to July, Brazil shipped 14.9 thousand tons of pork, 15.2 thousand tons of eggs, and 6.6 thousand tons of tilapia to the North American market, which resulted in over US$ 90 million in revenue.
