ABPA projections indicate growth in the production and export of chicken meat in Brazil

In a press conference held today, the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) announced its projections for the production and export of chicken meat in Brazil. For the year 2023, it is estimated that production will reach between 14.8 and 14.9 million tons, representing an increase of up to 2.6% compared to 2022, which recorded 14.524 million tons. Projections for 2024 are even more optimistic, indicating a volume of up to 15.35 million tons, a growth of 3.7% compared to the previous year. With regard to exports, ABPA forecasts total shipments of between 5.05 and 5.15 million tons in 2023, an increase of up to 6.8% compared to 2022, which recorded 4.822 million tons. For 2024, international sales could vary between 5.2 and 5.3 million tons, representing an increase of up to 3.9% in relation to exports projected for 2023.
