Greece: Acreage leakage of 25% from corn to alfalfa due to lower inputs and premium

In certain regions of Greece, including Viotia, Fthiotida, Agrinio, and Kavala, there has been a notable shift in agricultural preferences, with a significant reduction in the cultivation of corn. This shift is largely towards the cultivation of alfalfa, with a smaller portion of land being converted to durum wheat. These areas, which have been traditionally devoted to the production of animal feed, are seeing a change in farming practices.
