On April 6, the National Phytosanitary Epidemiological Surveillance System that operates in Colima detected a female specimen of the Mediterranean fly in the urban area of ​​the port of Manzanillo. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development activated the National Plant Health Emergency Device (DNE) with the aim of eradicating the outbreak of the Mediterranean fly Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) that occurred in Colima, and thus prevent its dissemination in other entities of the country.
