Vietnam has seen a significant increase in cashew exports in the first four months of 2024, with a total of 217.5 tons exported, generating over 1.16 billion USD, a 33.6% increase in volume and 22% increase in value compared to the same period last year. The US remains the largest market, followed by China, which has seen a 97.7% increase in imports from Vietnam, accounting for over 201.4 million USD of the total export revenue. The quality of Vietnamese cashews, their consistent supply, and the effect of China's promotion programs for cashew kernel consumption have contributed to the demand surge in the Chinese market. Vietnam's cashews are exported to 90 countries and territories, and the export value has been steadily increasing since 2006, making Vietnam the world's leading cashew exporter.
