(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Sin Chang-yong = The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Agricultural Policy Insurance and Finance Corporation (APIFC) have joined forces to continue the wave of K-Food. The two agencies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 10th to pool their efforts in broadening the export path of K-Agri-Food. First, they will jointly push the "KF Global Bridge Program" with a budget of 200 million won. KOTRA will provide overseas marketing services to companies invested by the "Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Food Mother Fund" operated by the APIFC and companies participating in agri-food crowdfunding. KOTRA will offer these companies opportunities to participate in overseas exhibitions and consultation meetings, as well as support for video consultations and test marketing, to help them achieve success abroad. The APIFC also announced that it will support additional investment to spread the virtuous cycle of export-investment performance centered on companies participating in the Mother Fund. As the first project to implement the agreement, the two agencies will dispatch delegations to Hanoi, Vietnam in April and Tokyo, Japan in October to support local exports. changyong@yna.co.kr
