Ukraine is working on establishing positions of agricultural attachés at diplomatic and trade institutions that will represent the interests of the Ukrainian agricultural sector abroad.
This was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Ministers of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Taras Vysotskyi and Denys Bashlyk with a delegation from the European Union and representatives of EU embassies in Ukraine regarding agricultural policy.
During the meeting, they discussed not only the results of the work already completed but also the next steps in cooperation that should ensure the sustainable development of Ukraine's agricultural sector.
Among the key topics:
the results of screenings within the negotiation process with the EU and further harmonization of legislation;
the creation of the institution of agricultural attachés – an effective tool of agricultural diplomacy;
strengthening the synergy between economic, agricultural, and environmental sectors.
