The Bull's Heart tomato represents one of the most appreciated types in the Italian horticultural landscape, both for its organoleptic characteristics and the growing interest from the fresh quality market. Characterized by large fruits, a pronounced ribbed shape, compact pulp, and a low presence of seeds, this ecotype is placed in a premium merchandise category, receiving widespread favor among discerning consumers and high-level catering. From an agronomic point of view, however, the cultivation of the Bull's Heart presents some complexities related to plant management, sensitivity to certain soil-borne pathogens, and the production variability that can manifest itself based on the genetic material used and the pedoclimatic conditions.
