According to Rosstat, in January-April of the current year, agricultural organizations in the Voronezh Region increased chicken egg production by 38.3% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 260.8 million eggs. The average egg-laying capacity of laying hens increased by 2.0% and reached 104 eggs. Milk production in agricultural organizations amounted to 302.5 thousand tons, which is 0.6% more than a year earlier. In terms of milk production, the Voronezh Region ranks first in the Central Federal District and fourth in Russia after the Republic of Tatarstan (546.6 thousand tons), Krasnodar Territory (447.7 thousand tons), and the Udmurt Republic (339.7 thousand tons). The average milk yield per cow for the first four months of this year increased by 4.6% compared to 2024 and reached 3,361.0 kg.
