Agricultural sector exports with added value are increasing

This year marks a transformation in the structure of agricultural exports, with shipments of value-added products growing at an accelerated pace. This was reported by Ilya Ilyushin, head of the federal center "Agroexport," during a press conference. According to him, exports of finished meat products increased by 15% in value terms, pasta by 23%, ice cream by 40%, beer by 19%, non-alcoholic beverages by 3%, and coffee by 71%. Exports of confectionery grew by 6%, grape wines by 21%, strong alcohol by 37%, and fish fillet by 15%, he cited. Shipments of livestock products to external markets are also increasing significantly. For example, meat and offal shipments grew by 44% in value terms and have already exceeded $1 billion, with market participants increasing supplies across all meat product categories, Ilyushin noted.
