Agriculture accompanied the first export of kiwi from Argentina with Geographical Indication to Spain

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation reports the first export consignment of kiwis with the Geographical Indication (GI) stamp and the Argentine Organic Certificate to Spain. The shipment corresponds to the Ecco Argentina Cooperative, from the Municipality of General Alvarado, which during the 2022 harvest stored and packaged more than 900 tons of this fruit, employing 20 families in the city, and whose refrigeration and packaging plant was inaugurated ago a year thanks to the contribution of $50,000,000 from the national agricultural portfolio. Secretary Bahillo highlighted "the professionalism, work, dreams and mysticism in the commitment of the cooperative sector and the accompaniment that is carried out from the State based on its development."
