Egypt has agreed to implement a pre-listing system for qualifying Brazilian meat exporting slaughterhouses, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. This move is anticipated to ease Brazilian exports of beef, pork, and chicken to Egypt. The pre-listing model eliminates the need for a final evaluation by Egyptian authorities, with sanitary certification carried out by the exporting country's authority, following the importing country's rules. This change is expected to reduce costs for exporters and increase the number of establishments authorized to export to Egypt.
