Agriculture/MRE: Paraguay opens market for genetic material from goats and sheep from Brazil

By Isadora Duarte Brasília, 11/23/2023 - Brazil will be able to export animal genetic material to Paraguay, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) reported in a joint note. The opening was completed this month with the approval of the International Health Certificate, covering goat and sheep semen and embryos. According to the folders, negotiations began in March and concluded with the publication of zoosanitary requirements by the Paraguayan health authority. The ministries reported that the conditions for handling, loading and transporting products for export comply with internationally recommended hygienic-sanitary standards.
