In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Peruvian agro-exports experienced a significant surge, with April exports reaching over $526 million, a 50% increase compared to the previous year, including products such as avocados, asparagus, and blueberries. Non-traditional exports, which accounted for 59% of the total, saw particular growth in fresh avocados, asparagus, and mangoes. From January to April, agricultural exports increased by 16.5% to $2,274 million, with the United States, Holland, and Spain being the main markets. This growth was led by increases in traditional exports like unroasted coffee and non-traditional exports like fruits and vegetables, particularly avocados, grapes, and blueberries.
