Spain: Agro-food Cooperatives of Andalusia present to the European Commission the results of the Agricore project to predict the effects of the CAP

Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de Andalucía has carried out an exhaustive study in the organic olive sector through social, cultural, economic and environmental parameters Agro-food Cooperatives of Andalusia has presented to the General Directorate of Agriculture of the European Commission all the work carried out within the framework of the Agricore project, a simulation tool to predict the effects of agricultural policies. The initiative has ended after five years of development and a dozen companies and institutions are participating, including universities and research centers from Italy, Poland and Greece. The role of Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de Andalucía has been decisive for the development of the tool, as it has been in charge of carrying out the field study in the region on organic olive grove farms.
