In 2020, Peruvian exports to China saw a decrease of 18.1% from the previous year, totaling US $ 11,130 million, primarily due to a decrease in demand for copper. This marks the first decrease after five years of growth. The Association of Exporters (ADEX) reported that primary shipments to China, including mining, fishing, oil and natural gas, and traditional agriculture, also saw a reduction. However, non-traditional exports, such as agribusiness, clothing, metalworking, iron and steel, and non-metallic mining, experienced an increase.
