Allowing more European agricultural products to enter the Chinese market

The General Authority of Customs in China has announced the inclusion of fresh peaches and blueberries from Serbia, and fresh cherries from Hungary, among the agricultural products that can be exported to China, subject to health and quarantine requirements. This development underscores the growing economic and trade cooperation between China and Europe, with agricultural and food products being a significant area of focus. In 2023, China and the European Union were each other's second-largest trading partners, with China being the largest importer of EU goods and the third largest export market for the EU, while the EU was the second largest importer of Chinese goods and China's second largest export market.
