Spain: Irregularity in vegetable prices in a campaign full of uncertainty

(R.P.) The current agricultural campaign continues to be unstable as far as prices are concerned. Crops have started somewhat late and supply remains low. Tomato continues to be the most profitable product compared to others such as eggplant, long cucumber, and pepper that achieve stability, although it does not reach the expected prices for these dates. Zucchini has recovered its price this week, both the fine and the fat ones are sold between one euro and five cents and seventy euro cents per kilo. The striped eggplant remains at prices ranging from one euro to seventy euro cents per kilo, and the long eggplant has dropped in price again with first cuts of sixty cents and has auctions of forty euro cents per kilo.
