The Association of Potato and Starch Producers in Belarus has filed a complaint with the ICMT, alleging dumping of potato starch from Ukraine. The ICMT has found sufficient evidence to warrant an anti-dumping investigation, as Belarusian imports were found to be priced lower than local production costs. This could potentially harm local producers, leading to reduced production, increased inventories, and profitability issues. In the second half of 2020, Ukraine imported 285.8 tons of potato starch from Belarus, 35.3% of total exports, while exporting 1.23 thousand tons to China.
