Due to a decrease in yield in key sunflower-producing regions and weather conditions, Ukraine is expected to have a lower sunflower oil yield in the 2025/26 season — at 11.4 million tons, compared to the previous forecast of 12 million tons. "The main production regions — Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv — have suffered greatly from prolonged summer drought, with yields ranging from 0.5 to 1.6 tons/ha.
