Potato prices in Ukraine have surged by 12% this week due to a limited supply and quality issues during harvest, with prices now ranging from UAH 18-25/kg ($0.48-0.67/kg). This has led to an increase in imports, especially from Poland where prices are 20% lower. However, the heightened activity of Ukrainian importers has also caused a price increase in Poland. The current price of potatoes in Ukraine is four times higher than last year, and further price increases are anticipated due to potential supply shortages.
