The Committee for Veterinary Control and Surveillance (KVKN) of Kazakhstan has imposed temporary restrictions on the import and transit of pig-breeding products from several Russian regions due to African swine fever. The restrictions include live pigs, semen, pork, wild boar meat, and other pig-related products. The KVKN has also implemented a plan to prevent the spread of the disease, which includes a memorandum with the Committee for Forestry and Wildlife for epizootic monitoring of wild fauna. Inspections of vehicles and hand luggage of passengers at the border control zone have also been organized.
