Spain: Andalusian olive oil boosts exports with 63% growth until July 2024

Andalusia has recorded outstanding growth in its exports during the first seven months of 2024, reaching 24,688 million euros, which represents an increase of 8.5% year-on-year. This growth contrasts with the 0.9% drop recorded in Spain as a whole and places Andalusia as the only one among the five main exporting communities that shows a positive evolution. One of the main protagonists of this boost has been olive oil, which has experienced a growth of 63.1% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching a record figure of 2,811 million euros in exports. This milestone reinforces olive oil as the most exported product by Andalusia, representing 11.4% of the total exports of the autonomous community.
