During the last Iranian calendar year, spanning from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024, Iran saw a significant increase in its fresh dates export, reaching 390,000 metric tons valued at $345 million, which represents a growth of seven percent in volume and 10 percent in value compared to the previous period. This growth occurred despite a four percent decrease in the country's date production, from 1,658,560 to 1,596,790 metric tons. Iran maintains its position as the world's third-largest producer of fresh dates, as reported by the National Date Association of Iran.
