The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Thailand is taking steps to assist dairy farmers during a high animal feed crisis. A draft project has been approved to provide low-interest loans to dairy farmer organizations and members to manage animal feed costs, aiming to reduce production costs and increase efficiency. A decision was also made to help farmers with raw milk prices to ensure their sustainable living. The Department of Livestock Development will now revise the project details based on the committee's opinions and submit it to the Cabinet for budget consideration. The dairy products and dairy farmers situation in the country for the second quarter of 2024 was also reported, showing an increase in raw milk demand and selling price.
