In the first eight months of 2024, Uzbekistan experienced a significant increase in apricot exports, with a total of 64.8 thousand tons exported earning $62.3 million. This represents a substantial increase of $21.6 million and 15 thousand tons compared to the same period in the previous year. The rise in exports is attributed to the high quality and competitive pricing of Uzbek apricots, along with an effective marketing strategy. The majority of the exports were to Russia (82.3%), followed by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Belarus.
