Brazil's exports to Arab countries saw a 25.6% increase between January and September, reaching US$17.7 billion, with sugar and corn experiencing record exports in September. The trade surplus was US$9.8 billion and the trade flow was US$25.6 billion. The main destinations for Brazilian exports were the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Iraq. Despite a slight drop, imports also hit record levels for certain items in September. The imports totaled US$7.9 billion, with oil and derivatives, fertilizers, and plastics being the main imports.
