Argentina has successfully opened the Omani market for the export of live horses, following an agreement on a International Veterinary Certificate that meets the country's sanitary requirements. This agreement was a result of negotiations between Senasa and the Argentine Foreign Ministry, and will allow for fluid trade and greater predictability for commercial operators. This new market, along with Namibia, strengthens Argentina's commercial position and adds to their 2024 certification of 2,835 live equines exported to 5 continents, with the largest volume going to the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
