(Agraria.pe) Argentina has included maca in the Argentine Food Code (CAA) and established a regulatory framework for its two main presentations: "toasted maca flour" and "gelatinized maca flour," which will boost the consumption of this Peruvian food. The inclusion of maca in the CAA was the result of joint work led by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), through the Vice Ministry of Foreign Trade, and the Commercial Office of Peru in Argentina, which depends on the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPerú), as well as a series of coordinations with Argentina's ANMAT, which began in 2022.
