Russia has seen a significant increase in ground flour exports in 2022, finding new markets in Egypt, Uganda, Senegal, and Sri Lanka, in addition to traditional markets like Georgia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Turkey. Despite geopolitical challenges and strong global competition, Russia's flour exports more than tripled compared to previous years, with the country producing 9 million tons of flour and exporting 881 thousand tons in 2022. The 'Volodarsky' mill alone produces 700 tons of wheat flour daily, indicating Russia's potential in flour production. This strategy shifts the focus from wheat grain exports to flour, offering an alternative export approach for Russia.
