The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported a rise in the number of cattle, buffaloes, sheep, and goats in the country as of June 2021. The cattle population increased by 0.9% to 18.3 million, while the buffalo population also rose by 0.9% to 194 thousand 277. The sheep population saw a significant increase of 7.3% to 45.2 million, and the goat population rose by 2.1% to 12.2 million.
