Asia Seed, Jeonbuk Agricultural Research Institute Sign Technology Licensing Contract for Domestic Paprika Variety

Asia Seed Corporation is stepping up efforts to expand the distribution of domestically developed paprika varieties among farmers. Asia Seed recently signed a non-exclusive licensing contract for four paprika varieties with the Jeollabuk-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services (hereinafter referred to as Jeollabuk-do ARES) at its biotechnology breeding research institute located in Gimje, Jeollabuk-do. These varieties, developed by Jeollabuk-do ARES, include 'Lea Red', 'Minerva Red', 'Luna Red', and 'Lea Gold', which are evaluated as having stable fruit set even under extreme weather conditions and superior fruit shapes. According to Asia Seed, the varieties have proven their competitiveness in yield, commercial value, and storage capacity through multiple variety assessment conferences.
