Asia Seedlings, with its new variety of cabbage Double Chariot, races into overseas markets.

Agricultural corporation Asia Seed applied for the protection of two new cabbage varieties, CT2422 and CT2418, last month. CT2422 is a next-generation small cabbage variety that improves the advantages of Asia Seed's "Kokoma cabbage," which is being developed and distributed for overseas export. It features a compact size of 900 to 1100 grams per head, about one-third the size of regular cabbage, making it a customized new variety that reflects the increasing number of single-person households and the trend towards health and convenience. CT2422 was researched with support from the Rural Development Administration's "Next-Generation Crop Breeding Technology Development Project," a national research and development project. CT2422 has soft leaves and a rich sweet taste, making it suitable for raw consumption (for salads).
