Students at a vocational high school in Kayseri, Turkey, have harvested saffflowers planted on 100 decares of land, with support from local authorities and the district governor's office. The students were responsible for various aspects of the crop's growth, including fertilization, hoeing, and irrigation. The harvest is expected to yield around 4-5 tons of safflower oil, which will be used to fund a greenhouse and the planting of sugar beet or wheat in the future. The students involved expressed that they learned valuable practical skills through the experience.
