According to experts from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the country exported 1.06 million tons of feed barley in December 2022, which is more than double the figure of the previous month (471 thousand tons), reports Grain Central. Saudi Arabia, to which Australia shipped 534.7 thousand tons against 263.6 thousand tons last month, as well as Japan - 178.3 (30.5) thousand tons, can be singled out among the key directions for grain exports. Also, significant volumes were exported to Iran - 64.3 thousand tons, Qatar - 60.5 thousand tons and the United Arab Emirates - 52.2 thousand tons. At the same time, according to ABS, Australia exported 21.9 thousand tons of malting barley in December, which is significantly lower than in November (104.4 thousand tons). The export of Australian sorghum in December 2022 is estimated at 47.8 thousand tons, which is two times less than in November (106.7 thousand tons).
